Specialist developer of luxury retirement apartments, Adlington, is currently building a new development in Urmston and has launched a photography competition to find the best picture of Davyhulme Nature Reserve, as part of its ongoing projects with the local community.

Adlington is calling out for submissions of photographs of the nature reserve taken now or at any point during its history. Covering over 9.2 hectares of land along Manchester Ship Canal’s western bank, Adlington is expecting some spectacular entries, and will recognise the winner with a £100 voucher to spend at Manchester’s Intu Trafford Centre.

Entrants are asked to submit their best photograph of the local nature reserve directly to Adlington via Twitter, Facebook or email, over the next six weeks with the top five entries being added to a shortlist where the local community will be encouraged to vote for their favourite.

Claire Reede, Sales & Marketing Manager at Adlington, commented: “As a developer, we believe that it’s hugely important to get involved with the local community and we know that Davyhulme Nature Reserve is an area very close to the hearts of lots of people in Urmston. We’re fortunate enough to have a great habitat for wildlife right on our doorstep and with summer approaching, it’s the perfect time to celebrate that. We can’t wait to see the photographs our entrants will produce or submit and we’re encouraging everyone to have a go!”

Open to photographers of all ages, entries are welcomed via Adlington’s social media pages including @AdlingtonLife on Twitter or Adlington Independent Living on Facebook. To submit photos via email direct these to adlington@ilkagency.com. For full T&C’s, visit http://newsroom.ilk.agency/adlington/.
