Welcoming Kempston Mayor, Councillor Nawaz
Welcoming Mr Mayor to The Newells Last week we were privileged...
The Woodlands, one of our latest communities in Heaton Mersey, Stockport, has been named Seniors Housing Scheme of the Year and Adlington Retirement Living has been named Seniors Housing Developer of the Year (pipeline).
As a future-facing company with a superb track record, the family owned and run business was recognised as the best in its sector, having launched 14 successful Independent Retirement Communities, with more than 850 happy homeowners.
Recently opened communities include The Woodlands in Heaton Mersey, Stockport, and Jacobs Gate in Sheffield, Yorkshire. Eight more Adlington Retirement Living communities are due to open in the next two years, including The Sidings in Lytham, Lancashire, and The Spindles in Menston, Yorkshire.
The HealthInvestor Seniors Housing Awards, celebrate excellence in seniors housing, one of the fastest growing sub-sectors of real estate. This year’s awards attracted a record number of entries and the winners were announced on Thursday 8th September at a Gala Dinner at the Park Plaza in London.
Dr Ed Gladman, Managing Director of Adlington Retirement Living, said: “These awards are testament to the hard work, passion and dedication of our first-class team who have been an integral part of the 14 Independent Retirement Communities we’ve launched since 2009.
“Our vision is to empower the older generation to live a long, happy and healthy life. We do this by creating quality retirement communities in safe and secure environments and providing our homeowners with stimulating activities, extensive communal facilities and beautiful private gardens.”
Adlington Retirement Living is one of the top three companies that design, build and operate Independent Retirement Communities in the UK. In the past five years it has grown from 45 employees to a team of more than 120, including its in-house land team, planners, architects, designers, construction team, and sales and marketing colleagues.
In 2019, the business launched Adlington Management Services, to provide a consistent, outstanding service to its homeowners. They are responsible for the practical aspects of running a retirement community, such as maintaining the building, as well as the more emotional aspects. That part of their role is all about creating a caring, supportive environment to positively contribute to the health, happiness and well-being of homeowners. They ensure that every homeowner’s experience exceeds their expectations.
We recently spoke to a couple who moved to The Sailings in Southport in November last year. They said: “The staff and the sales team at Adlington weren’t at all pushy. They were just really pleasant, really nice and everything that they promised, has happened. They’ve carried on showing the sort of care that they did on that first visit.”
A recent homeowner survey found that 100% would recommend living in an Adlington Retirement Living community to friends or family.
Dr Ed Gladman added: “This national awards event celebrates the highest standards and the best new independent retirement communities in the country. We’re really pleased that the judges recognised our unique approach to independent retirement living.”
