The Mayor and Mayoress of Stafford Borough, Councillor Mr Ray Barron and Councillor Mrs Jenny Barron, celebrated the grand opening of Brooklands House, 55 luxury retirement apartments on Eccleshall Road, Stafford on the 15th May.

New homeowners alongside staff and potential purchasers were treated by Adlington to a champagne afternoon tea in the beautifully appointed restaurant and lounge, providing a glimpse of the exciting community-based events on the horizon.

Mayor of Stafford Borough, Councillor Ray Barron commented: “I was delighted to be invited to celebrate the opening of Brooklands House. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to chat to homeowners and to see first-hand what it is like to live in such a fabulous development.

Residents can enjoy the privacy of their own apartment or get together with friends and neighbours in the communal spaces, – to have options all under one roof is remarkable – not to mention the added care and support if anyone should need it.”

Brooklands House, a retirement development specially designed for those over the age of 65, opened its doors in March and already has over half of the apartments occupied. It’s clear to see why they have proved so popular as each apartment includes high-spec integrated kitchen appliances all at easy to reach heights, lavish décor plus fully fitted carpets, alongside accessible yet luxurious en-suite shower room and bathroom facilities. For that all-important outside space, most include a balcony or patio area overlooking the beautifully landscaped gardens.

In addition, there is a hairdressing salon, a spa and therapy suite, activities and crafts room, plus a guest suite equipped with a kitchen area and en-suite for visiting friends and family.

The real point of difference with an Adlington development is the option of on site 24-hour care, provided by the company’s partner MHA (Methodist Homes) who have been providing care and support for more than 70 years. Furthermore, there is a sophisticated emergency call system throughout the building and grounds, plus a security video entry facility within each apartment.

Claire Reede, Marketing Manager for Adlington, added: “We were thrilled to welcome Mayor of Stafford Borough, Councillor Ray Barron, as well as so many people from the local area to celebrate the opening of Brooklands House and give it the seal of approval that it deserves.”
