Lytham Nature Reserve

Lytham Nature Reserve is located just five miles from The Sidings, hosting over 250 distinct plant species and home to a variety of breeding birds such as Skylark, Linnet, Stonechat and Reed Bunting. During the winter, flocks of Pink-footed geese can be seen flying between their feeding areas around Southport and Over Wyre.

Lytham Windmill

Just 0.3 miles from The Sidings you’ll find Lytham Windmill, known as a tower mill, this local landmark was designed for grinding wheat and oats to make flour or bran. Standing tall on Lytham Green, the iconic attraction is also home to the Lifeboat Museum.

St Annes Beach Huts

The beautiful St Annes Beach Huts sit along the golden sands just 3.7 miles from The Sidings. These famous huts are available to rent and offer everything you need for a relaxed day on the beach.

Fairhaven Lake

Fairhaven Lake is located on the seafront just 2.2 miles from The Sidings. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and open green spaces, offering a range of walks, boating, crazy golf and a host of wildlife.

There are a number of parks to enjoy just a short distance from The Sidings, including Queen Elizabeth II Park, Lytham Green, Witch Wood Park and Ashton Gardens. The oldest park in St Annes is Lowther Garden that comprises of mature gardens with a range of passive and active leisure facilities for all age ranges.

Lytham Hall

Lytham Hall is part of the Historic Houses Association and steeped with history dating back to the 12th century. Located just 1.3 miles from The Sidings, this Georgian House is set amongst 80 acres of historic parkland, incorporating a lake, beautiful gardens and pond.

Garden Centres

The Sidings is located a short distance from a selection of nurseries, ideal for picking up some new plants suitable for balcony and patio living. Leafy Lytham Garden Hub is just 1.4 miles away with Lytham St Annes Garden Centre and Crowder Nurseries a little further afield at four miles away.

Places To Visit With The Grandchildren

If you’re looking for a fun-packed family day out why not visit Wild Discovery, just a short drive away from The Sidings. The park offers a miniature safari and zoo with interactive and educational experience for animal lovers of all ages.

A little further afield is Ribble Steam Railway and Museum. Hop aboard the steam train or discover one of the UK’s one of the largest collections of locomotives in the museum.
