Homeowners at The Bridges mark Remembrance Sunday

Homeowners at The Bridges in Macclesfield came together to mark Remembrance Sunday.

Having gathered together in the Homeowners’ Lounge to observe a screening of the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph and the two-minute silence, retired homeowners shared stories of loved ones and wartime memories over lunch and an afternoon of nostalgia.

Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living said: “This year, The Royal British Legion asked for communities across Britain to ‘remember together’ the service and sacrifice, friendship and collaboration of the men and women of Britain, the Commonwealth and Allied nations who fought together”

“We know that some of our community of Homeowners have memories which they may wish to share with each other or with visiting family and friends. Others may wish to quietly remember.”
