Homeowners have now moved into 64 of the 65 luxury apartments at our community in Sheffield. Jacobs Gate, specially designed for those over the age of 65, welcomed its first homeowners in December 2020 and will be the twelfth Adlington Retirement Living community to sell-out.

Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We’re really pleased to have welcomed homeowners to 64 of our 65 apartments at Jacobs Gate. There’s just one, two-bedroomed apartment remaining, which we’re sure will be snapped up soon. There’s a real sense of community there and it’s wonderful to see so many homeowners enjoying their retirement.”

Talks and special events are regularly delivered with guest speakers, authors and performers. In fact, summer events have become popular fixtures in the social calendar at Jacobs Gate and the ‘Jacobsbury’ festival, inspired by Glastonbury, has just returned for its second year, back by popular demand, with live entertainment, summer drinks and a BBQ in the gardens.

Anne, homeowner who moved to Jacobs Gate, said: “I’ve absolutely done the right thing and probably should have done it a couple of years earlier. I’m very happy. I think partly it’s because I’ve got people around me. It’s lovely to be somewhere where things are happening. I feel as if I’ve joined life again rather than being locked away from it!”
