Plans for 57 new luxury independent living apartments in Leek announced

Gold award winning developer, Adlington, has announced that it will be building 57 luxury retirement apartments in Leek, creating over 25 jobs in the Staffordshire Moorlands region.

Adlington, a Congleton based company of over 30 years, have received Planning Approval for their recent development and work is due to start at the former Compton Mill, a short distance from the town centre, in January 2018.

The old silk mill, which was originally built in the late 19^th century, used to manufacture the country’s market-leading brand, Moorcroft Knitwear.  Adlington will now take those outstanding levels of design forward in their luxurious retirement dwellings and wish to sympathetically retain the historic building’s tower.
