The Proposed Development

Adlington is intending to apply for Planning Permission for a retirement apartment with care community comprising circa 90 private apartments with communal facilities and landscaped gardens. This consultation demonstrates how the design has developed since the last public exhibition in November 2022. We have worked closely with a Design Review Panel (DRP) which is a group of independent, multi-disciplinary architects, planners and landscape consultants. Their purpose is to provide impartial expert advice to applicants and local authorities on design issues in relation to important developments at pre-application stage and we are pleased to confirm that they generally support the design, layout, scale and massing.
