A stunning collection of show apartments and communal facilities are now available to view at our new retirement community in Heaton Mersey.

The Woodlands, on Woodlands Road, will offer 63 age-exclusive one, two and three-bedroom apartments and is set to welcome its first homeowners in January 2022.

All apartments include quality, fully fitted kitchens with integrated appliances. Many feature en-suite shower rooms as well as separate bathrooms, and most have walk-out balconies or a private patio area overlooking the beautifully landscaped gardens.

Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “The marketing suite is open six days a week and we’re inviting anybody considering moving to a luxury retirement apartment at The Woodlands to book a tour.”

This new retirement community will offer new friendships, social occasions, and activities that homeowners can dip into whenever the mood takes them. When they want to spend some quiet time in their own company, they have a beautiful, self-contained apartment that they can retreat to.

Alexandra Johnson adds: “We’re also happy to welcome well-behaved pets to our retirement communities. After all, they’re often part of the family.”

The communal facilities at The Woodlands will include a table-service restaurant, Homeowners’ Lounge, hair salon, therapy suite, activities studio, and a guest suite with en-suite for visiting friends and family.

The 24-hour on-site support team will provide homeowners with added peace of mind and, if needed, optional personal care packages. In addition to this, there will be a sophisticated emergency call system and a security video entry system to manage access.

Four of Adlington’s sites have won Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for the Best Retirement Development at the WhatHouse? Awards, the UK housebuilding’s most prestigious event. The Folds in Romiley and the Bridges in Macclesfield won the Silver Award in 2020 and 2019, Adlington House in Otley won the Gold Award in 2017 and Adlington House in Portishead won the Bronze Award in 2015.

Alexandra Johnson explains: “The judges praised our unique approach to independent living, which ensures Homeowners don’t have to compromise on their lifestyle, their social life or their independence. Our aim is to provide a community spirit, whilst promoting independence and individual respect. We offer a chance to become part of a flourishing community of like-minded people, with a shared outlook.”
