The Cottons welcomes Air Born author
Homeowners at The Cottons in Ramsbottom welcomed a local author last...
On Wednesday 12th June The Mayor of Macclesfield, Councillor Janet Jackson MBE, accompanied by her consort Mr David Jackson, cut the ribbon to officially open The Bridges, a brand-new Adlington Retirement Living development of 62 stylish age-exclusive apartments ideally situated next to the Macclesfield Canal, on Buxton Road, Macclesfield.
The grand opening was celebrated by the new homeowners at The Bridges, alongside staff and potential purchasers, with a sparkling reception in the beautifully appointed restaurant and lounge.
The Mayor of Macclesfield, Councillor Janet Jackson MBE commented: “I was delighted to be asked to officially open The Bridges. It’s a wonderful new development which has a real sense of community, with homeowners having access to a restaurant, lounge and beautifully landscaped gardens alongside the canal, and the spacious apartments ensure that homeowners can enjoy the privacy of their own home. I enjoyed meeting with so many happy homeowners.”
Jon Shepherd, director of Adlington added “I was very pleased to welcome The Mayor of Macclesfield, Councillor Janet Jackson MBE, to our brand-new Adlington Retirement Living development. Adlington’s vision is to empower our older generation to live a long, happy and healthy life. By creating safe and secure environments – with active communities, extensive facilities, and spacious, quality homes – providing a new opportunity to enjoy retirement with a new perspective.”
The Bridges, an Adlington retirement development specially designed for those over the age of 60, welcomed its first homeowners in April and already has many of the apartments occupied. It’s clear to see why the development is selling fast, with all apartments including quality fitted kitchens with integrated appliances and many feature en-suite shower rooms and separate bathrooms. For that all-important outside space, most have walk on balconies or a patio area overlooking the beautifully landscaped gardens; not to mention the stunning views over the canal and beyond.
In addition, there is a hairdressing salon, therapy room, activities studio, plus a guest suite equipped with a kitchenette and en-suite for visiting friends and family.
One of the key reasons for those purchasing an Adlington apartment is that it provides added peace of mind with round the clock, 24-hour on-site support and, if needed, the option of tailored care. In addition to this, there is a sophisticated emergency call system as well as a security video entry so access is only allowed to those know and trusted.
Show apartments are open to view daily between 10am and 5pm. To book an appointment please call 01625 469126.
