Adlington Retirement Living’s retirement community in Cheadle has sold all 48 luxury apartments.
Located in a quiet residential road in the heart of Cheadle Village, The Chimes offers homeowners a welcoming apartment community where they can set their own timetable, explore the town and enjoy life free from worry and compromise.
Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “We’re really pleased to have welcomed homeowners to all 48 apartments at The Chimes. There’s a real sense of community here and it’s wonderful to see so many happy homeowners enjoying their retirement.”
According to the latest Great British Retirement Index, Stockport is amongst the top ten places to retire in the UK, and as The Chimes sells-out, Adlington Retirement Living has recently opened two more retirement communities in the area – The Woodlands in Heaton Mersey and The Folds in Romiley.
The thriving communities offer new friendships, social occasions, and a range of activities that homeowners can dip into whenever the mood takes them.
Joan, who moved to The Chimes with her husband Bill in December 2019 said: “The best bits about living here are you’ve got people on hand. You can have your privacy. You have your own apartment. You can stay there whenever you want to and you can be on your own… but you also have the alternative if you want it. You’ve got lots of people around, lots of activities, lots of fun. I think having that choice is such a big thing and you can have one choice one day and the other choice the next day. It’s a perfect situation. I can highly recommend it!”
Alexandra Johnson believes these retirement communities are a wonderful example of a new blueprint for retirement living: “Adlington’s vision is to empower our older generation to live a long, happy and healthy life. We do that by creating safe and secure environments with active communities, extensive facilities, and spacious, quality homes, providing an opportunity to enjoy retirement with a new perspective.”
The 24-hour on-site support teams provide homeowners with peace of mind and, if needed, the option of tailored personal care packages suited to individual’s needs. In addition to this, there is a sophisticated emergency call system as well as a security video entry to manage access.
Alexandra Johnson adds: “We offer a personal approach to care to ensure that our homeowners receive just the right amount to maintain their independence, allowing them to enjoy their retirement to the full. It’s completely flexible, so should anybody find that their requirements change in the future, the discreet care team will be able to accommodate and support them.”
